Responsibilities:
- Generate and verify shipping labels and related documentation for outgoing orders.
- Schedule and coordinate pick-ups with various shipping carriers.
- Inspect packages for accuracy, damage, and proper labeling before dispatch.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and update tracking information in the logistics system.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners regarding shipment status.
- Operate shipping department equipment such as scales and printers.
- Ensure all shipments comply with company policies and transportation regulations.
- Follow all established safety rules and guidelines, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Contribute to optimizing shipping processes for greater logistics efficiency.
- Be prepared for occasional lifting duties of items up to 45 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a shipping or logistics role preferred.
- Proficiency in using computers and shipping software applications.
- Strong organizational abilities and excellent attention to detail.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of general warehouse and logistics safety practices.
- Willingness to adhere to all safety protocols and wear required PPE.
