We are seeking a certified Forklift Operator to join our logistics team in Indianapolis, Indiana. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts and other heavy machinery to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your precision and adherence to Safety protocols are paramount in ensuring the efficient flow of goods within our warehouse. This position requires a keen understanding of warehouse operations and a commitment to maintaining a secure work environment. We provide all necessary PPE and mandate strict adherence to all Safety guidelines and regulations. The role involves significant physical demands, including the operation of heavy machinery and occasional Lifting. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Transport raw materials and finished goods to and from designated areas.
- Stack and store merchandise in appropriate locations within the warehouse.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on forklifts.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Wear and utilize all required PPE at all times.
- Participate in cycle counts and inventory checks.
- Follow all Lifting and material handling guidelines.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA compliant).
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety best practices and procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of logistics and inventory flow.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual.
