Advance your career as a Forklift Operator in our dynamic warehouse located in Boston, Massachusetts. We are seeking experienced professionals to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our logistics facility. Your primary responsibilities will include operating forklifts to manage inbound and outbound materials, maintain inventory accuracy, and support the overall flow of goods. The ideal candidate is a certified, skilled forklift operator with a deep understanding of warehouse safety protocols and a proactive approach to maintaining operational efficiency. You will be a key member of our logistics team, contributing to a productive and secure work environment. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety are paramount in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Load and unload products from trucks, ensuring secure transport.
- Transport materials to and from storage areas, production lines, or shipping docks.
- Stack and organize inventory accurately within designated warehouse racking systems.
- Conduct pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any mechanical issues or damage.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, including hazard communication and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, and high-visibility vests.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock put-away as directed by supervisors.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace, ensuring clear access and preventing hazards.
- Support the logistics team in achieving daily operational goals and maintaining a safe working environment.
- Perform lifting tasks as needed, up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
Certified forklift operator with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience. Proven track record of safe forklift operation in a warehouse or logistics setting. Thorough knowledge of OSHA safety standards and warehouse safety best practices. Ability to perform manual lifting up to 50 lbs. Experience with inventory management systems is advantageous. Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness. Commitment to wearing and maintaining PPE at all times.
