Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Verify the accuracy of received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect shipments for damage, shortages, or discrepancies, documenting any issues.
- Enter receiving data into the inventory management system promptly and accurately.
- Stage received goods for put-away or further processing.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, drivers, and internal departments regarding shipments.
- Adhere to all safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques and the use of required PPE.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and audits as directed.
- Support the logistics team in resolving receiving-related issues.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Receiving Clerk or in a similar warehouse role is beneficial. Proficiency in using scanning equipment and inventory management software. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Ability to perform lifting up to 40 lbs. Understanding of logistics and supply chain processes. Commitment to workplace safety and the correct use of PPE. Must possess excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
