Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately review shipping orders to ensure all items are accounted for and properly documented.
- Generate and affix correct shipping labels and prepare necessary documentation (e.g., bills of lading, packing slips).
- Schedule and coordinate pickups with various shipping carriers.
- Assist in the physical loading and unloading of trucks, ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Maintain organized records of all shipments, both incoming and outgoing.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners regarding shipment status and any potential issues.
- Ensure packages are prepared and secured for transit according to company standards.
- Follow all Safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a secure work environment.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the warehouse logistics.
Requirements:
- Ability to lift and maneuver packages up to 40 lbs.
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications for shipping software and data entry.
- Must wear required PPE.
- Understanding of shipping processes and logistics is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
