Job Summary:
We are looking for a diligent and physically capable Material Handler to join our bustling warehouse in Des Moines, Iowa. As a Material Handler, you will be the backbone of our warehouse operations, ensuring that materials are moved, organized, and staged efficiently and safely. This role is critical for maintaining smooth workflow within our logistics hub. Your responsibilities will include receiving and processing incoming materials, transporting goods to designated areas, and preparing materials for production or shipment. A strong commitment to Safety and adherence to all company procedures, including the correct use of PPE, is mandatory. If you are a team player with a strong sense of responsibility and enjoy hands-on work, this is an excellent opportunity. While experience with material handling equipment is a plus, we are eager to train individuals who demonstrate reliability and a willingness to learn the intricacies of warehouse logistics. Your efforts ensure our operations run like clockwork.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive, identify, and store incoming materials and products.
  • Transport raw materials, finished goods, and other items within the warehouse.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently (certification and training provided).
  • Load and unload trucks and containers.
  • Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage areas.
  • Assist with cycle counts and inventory verification.
  • Ensure all materials are properly labeled and tracked.
  • Adhere to all Safety regulations and maintain a hazard-free work environment.
  • Follow all operational procedures and logistics guidelines.

Requirements:
  • Must be able to perform manual tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 60 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, and operate machinery for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work varying shifts and occasional overtime.
  • Must wear designated PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of inventory control and logistics is beneficial.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
