We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our team in Cincinnati, Ohio. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the receiving process. Your responsibilities will include unloading shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, inspecting for damage, and properly documenting all received items. This role is critical to maintaining accurate inventory levels and ensuring a smooth flow of materials into our warehouse. A strong commitment to Safety and adherence to operational procedures are paramount. You will work closely with our logistics and inventory teams to guarantee that all incoming products are accounted for and processed correctly, contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations.
Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming freight from trucks efficiently and safely.
- Verify the contents of shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect incoming goods for any damage or discrepancies.
- Accurately document all received items in the inventory management system.
- Tag and label received goods appropriately.
- Route received goods to the correct storage locations or departments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Communicate any receiving issues or discrepancies to supervisors.
- Perform tasks that may involve moderate Lifting.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Receiving Clerk or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret purchase orders and shipping documents.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical ability to perform tasks including moderate Lifting.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Basic computer skills for data entry.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Understanding of basic logistics principles.
