Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and organized Inventory Clerk to join our warehouse team in Detroit, Michigan. As an Inventory Clerk, you will play a vital role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory records. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular stock takes, reconciling inventory discrepancies, and ensuring that our warehouse management system accurately reflects the physical stock. This position requires a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to upholding Safety standards within the logistics environment. You will work closely with the warehouse management and operations teams to ensure efficient inventory control and contribute to the overall success of our supply chain operations. This role is crucial for minimizing loss and maximizing operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
  • Reconcile inventory records with physical counts and investigate any discrepancies.
  • Update inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) accurately and promptly.
  • Assist in receiving and put-away processes, ensuring correct item identification and location.
  • Monitor stock levels and report low stock items to management.
  • Identify and report damaged or expired inventory.
  • Maintain an organized and clean inventory storage area.
  • Ensure compliance with all Safety regulations and protocols, including the correct use of PPE.
  • Support the logistics team in various inventory-related tasks.
  • Perform tasks that may involve occasional Lifting of inventory items.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as an Inventory Clerk or in a similar role is required.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software or WMS is essential.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks as needed, including some Lifting.
  • Understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree is a plus.
  • Knowledge of basic logistics and supply chain principles.
  • Commitment to Safety in all aspects of the job.
