Join our team as a Material Handler in Raleigh, North Carolina, and play a crucial role in the efficient movement of goods within our state-of-the-art logistics facility. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for receiving, stocking, picking, and preparing materials for shipment. This physically demanding position requires attention to detail, reliability, and a strong commitment to safety. You will operate various types of equipment to move materials throughout the warehouse, ensuring that products are handled carefully and accurately. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials for damage or discrepancies.
- Transport materials to and from storage areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
- Accurately pick and pack orders according to specified requirements.
- Load outgoing shipments onto trucks, ensuring proper securing and placement.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area, adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and report any stock discrepancies.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, especially concerning safety and PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, contributing to the overall logistics flow.
- Ensure all tasks involving Lifting are performed with proper technique and safety precautions.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment is a plus.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to perform frequent Lifting tasks.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Basic understanding of inventory management principles.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to all Safety protocols.
- Experience in Logistics operations is beneficial.
