We are looking for skilled and safety-focused individuals to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to support our extensive operations. Your role will be pivotal in managing the flow of goods within our facility, from receiving and put-away to order picking and staging for shipment. A deep understanding of warehouse safety protocols, efficient material handling, and maintaining equipment is essential. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, load, and unload materials and merchandise.
- Transport goods between different areas of the warehouse as directed.
- Conduct pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any maintenance needs promptly.
- Assist with inventory management, including put-away and retrieval of stock.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers accurately and securely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Follow all safety procedures, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and assist in promoting a safety-conscious culture.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely order fulfillment.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Valid Forklift Operator certification and proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and proper lifting techniques.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Good communication skills.
