Join our advanced logistics facility as an Inventory Control Specialist in San Jose, California. This role is essential for maintaining the accuracy, efficiency, and security of our inventory. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management, including performing precise cycle counts, investigating and resolving discrepancies, managing stock rotation, and ensuring the overall integrity of our warehouse stock. Success in this position requires a keen analytical mind, exceptional attention to detail, and a deep understanding of warehouse operations and supply chain logistics. We are dedicated to fostering a safe workplace; therefore, adherence to all safety procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is paramount. While analytical in nature, this role may involve some physical duties, such as occasional lifting of items up to 50 lbs. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventories.
- Reconcile inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Develop and implement strategies to improve inventory accuracy and reduce shrinkage.
- Monitor stock levels, forecast needs, and report on inventory status.
- Manage stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) and ensure product freshness where applicable.
- Oversee the proper handling and storage of all inventory items.
- Ensure the warehouse is organized and maintains safety standards, contributing to overall logistics flow.
- Strictly follow all safety protocols and utilize required PPE.
- Perform occasional lifting tasks as needed, up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- Significant experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Expertise in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory tracking software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
- Thorough understanding of logistics principles and inventory best practices.
- Knowledge of workplace safety regulations and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
