We are looking for a proactive and skilled Warehouse Technician to join our team in San Francisco, California. This role is essential for maintaining the operational efficiency and integrity of our warehouse facilities and equipment. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring all machinery operates safely and effectively. A key aspect of this job involves ensuring our *Logistics* equipment is in top condition, minimizing downtime. The position requires the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical problems, conduct preventative maintenance, and manage spare parts inventory. While not solely focused on heavy *Lifting*, you may need to move equipment and components weighing up to 40 pounds. Prioritizing *Safety* is non-negotiable, including rigorous adherence to all *Safety* protocols and the consistent use of required *PPE*. We are seeking individuals with a strong technical aptitude and a commitment to proactive problem-solving. This role is crucial for upholding our operational standards.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment (e.g., conveyor systems, forklifts, pallet jacks).
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
- Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.
- Maintain an inventory of spare parts and tools.
- Ensure all equipment operates in compliance with *Safety* standards.
- Operate relevant machinery safely.
- Follow all *Safety* guidelines and use appropriate *PPE*.
- Assist with the installation of new equipment.
- Document maintenance and repair activities.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Technician, Maintenance Technician, or similar role.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse *Logistics* equipment.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring moderate *Lifting* (up to 40 lbs).
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance best practices.
- Commitment to workplace *Safety* and the correct use of *PPE*.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training is a plus.
