We are seeking a diligent Shipping Clerk to join our team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In this role, you will play an essential part in our outbound logistics process, ensuring that all orders are prepared, documented, and shipped correctly and on time. Your responsibilities will include coordinating with carriers, generating shipping labels, packing orders, and maintaining shipping records. A commitment to Safety and proper handling of goods is paramount, and you will be provided with necessary training and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Process and prepare outgoing shipments for various carriers.
- Create shipping labels and documentation accurately.
- Pack orders securely to prevent damage during transit.
- Coordinate pick-ups with shipping carriers.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipments.
- Assist with inventory control and stock checks as needed.
- Ensure the shipping area is clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow all company Safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a shipping or logistics role is preferred.
- Ability to perform Lifting duties as required, up to 30 lbs.
- Proficiency with computers and shipping software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to Safety and responsible work practices.
