We are seeking a diligent and energetic Material Handler to join our dynamic warehouse team in Orlando, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe movement of materials throughout the facility. This is a critical position that ensures the smooth operation of our logistics network, from receiving incoming goods to preparing outgoing shipments. You will work closely with other warehouse personnel, supervisors, and drivers to meet daily operational goals. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will be paramount in maintaining an organized and productive work environment. This role offers a great opportunity for individuals looking to build a career in warehousing and logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials, verifying quantities against purchase orders.
- Transport materials to designated storage areas using manual and powered equipment.
- Pick, pack, and stage orders accurately and efficiently for shipment.
- Load outgoing shipments onto trucks, ensuring proper securing and weight distribution.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all housekeeping standards.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently (training provided if needed).
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist in cycle counting.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to a supervisor immediately.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, contributing to overall team success.
Qualifications:
Must be able to perform frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds. Prior warehouse experience is a plus, but not required. A strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential. Basic understanding of logistics principles is beneficial. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions are crucial. Commitment to workplace safety is mandatory.
