Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist for our Minneapolis, Minnesota facility. This critical role ensures the accuracy and integrity of our inventory, which is vital for our logistics operations. The Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for monitoring stock levels, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing procedures to maintain optimal inventory accuracy. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to maintaining a highly organized warehouse. Join our team and play a key role in our supply chain success.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Monitor stock levels and report on slow-moving or excess inventory.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Coordinate with other departments, such as receiving, shipping, and operations, to resolve inventory issues.
  • Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory to prevent damage and loss.
  • Assist in the training of new staff on inventory control procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all Safety regulations and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of our logistics operations through meticulous inventory management.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar inventory management role.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control principles and WMS.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform moderate Lifting (up to 30 lbs).
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Knowledge of logistics and warehouse operations.
  • Commitment to Safety and a secure work environment.
  • Proficiency in data entry and computer systems.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
