You will also be expected to adhere to all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. This position requires physical stamina, as there will be frequent lifting involved, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized workspace. A strong understanding of logistics principles and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential for success in this role. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment.
- Verify shipment contents against order details.
- Generate shipping labels and required documentation.
- Coordinate with freight carriers for pick-ups and deliveries.
- Maintain organized and clean work areas.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking.
- Perform general warehouse duties as needed.
- Ensure proper handling of materials to prevent damage.
- Participate in inventory counts and stock management.
- Report any discrepancies or issues to supervisor.
- Demonstrate commitment to a culture of safety and efficiency in logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a shipping or warehouse environment preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with shipping software and carrier portals.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills.
- Understanding of warehouse safety regulations and the importance of PPE.
