JOB TITLE: UX Researcher III LOCATION: Seattle, WA (onsite) DURATION: 8/11/2025 - 2/10/2026 (6 month contract) PAY RANGE: $66 - $77/hr

Summary: Understanding the user is at the center of our research, as it informs our work in industrial and product design, functionality of our devices, and practically all components of our smart glasses systems. As a UX Researcher, you will be tackling the challenges that will define cutting-edge next generation smart and AR glasses and wearables.
The Quantified Wearability (QW) team specifically is an applied research team whose research impacts stakeholders across client. As a UX researcher on the QW team, you'll be responsible for planning and executing user experience research studies for multiple prototype products. You'll work closely with research staff and other UX researchers to inform study design and conduct data collection with human participants. You will conduct data analysis and prepare reports to summarize key findings to cross-functional engineering and product partner teams.
Job responsibilities
Develop ergonomic and human factors research studies by utilizing appropriate methods, which may include experimental design, survey design and analysis, motion tracking and kinematics analysis, and relevant safety & comfort research approaches Collaborate with other researchers and engineers across teams at *** to develop experiments, prototypes, and concepts that advance the state-of-the-art in AR/VR systems. Collaboratively and independently develop and execute research roadmaps Submit potential projects through research review and privacy process Strictly adhere to privacy, security and safety standards when working directly with participants or participant data Lead various research studies throughout all the phases of the product development cycle Conduct original data analysis and prepare presentations to communicate research findings Manage research vendors to help augment the work of the research team
Skills:
Experience in quantitative and qualitative UX research and study design. Experience working directly with human subjects. Extensive experience with data and utilizing numbers to define and support hypotheses. Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills. Strong ability to work independently, prioritize, and manage one's time. Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, sometimes ambiguous environment. Prior experience with Python, R, MATLAB, or equivalent for data analysis. Understanding of large database infrastructure (SQL) is a plus. Experience handling prototyped hardware and software in experimental design and study execution.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a human behavior related field, such as human-computer interaction, psychology, sociology, communication, information science, media studies, computer science, or economics 2+ years of experience in conducting research for Client products headed to market Illustrated experience working, communicating, and collaborating in a cross-disciplinary, highly cross-functional environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree or higher in a human behavior related field, such as human-computer interaction, psychology, sociology, communication, information science, media studies, computer science, or economics Experience in research for emerging technologies, AR/VR/MR or wearable technology Quantitative analyses, prototyping experience
