Interventional Cardiologist Opportunity - Coastal South CarolinaLocation: Conway, SC - Myrtle Beach 15 milesEmployment Type: Full-Time, permanent positionPosition Overview Primarily outpatient role with some inpatient responsibilities Standard schedule: Monday-Thursday 8-5, Friday 8- clinical hours + 4 administrative hours weekly Protected administrative time (.5 day per week) Call: 1:4 STEMI call (1:3 with local team; 1 weekend per month covered by outside interventional team); 1:6 general cardiology call EMR: CernerPatient Volume & Population 18-22 patients per day Adult population with broad cardiac conditions Majority patients aged 55+ including smokers and individuals with peripheral cardiac conditions (e.g., claudication) Strong referral base from the region's largest primary care networkScope of Work Interventional cardiology consultations, follow-ups, and diagnostic evaluations Consultative service only; hospitalists manage admissions Advanced diagnostics: Echocardiography (TTE/TEE) Stress testing (treadmill, nuclear) Cardiac CT & MRI 256-slice CT scanner Support from cardiac device clinic and dedicated techniciansDynamic Environment Board-eligible or board-certified candidates welcome Collaborative environment with close integration between interventional cardiology, general cardiology, and interventional radiology Opportunities for cross-referrals and procedural collaboration in the cath lab Planned development of hybrid OR for minimally invasive procedures Access to da Vinci robotic surgical system for complex cardiac proceduresClinic & Facility Details Two-room cath lab Ten operating rooms Fourteen-bed cardiac monitoring unit Clinic directly connected to cath lab for seamless workflow In-house wound care center with hyperbaric chambers Large, well-equipped service area with significant growth potentialCommunity Highlights Coastal lifestyle with access to beaches, boating, golf, and outdoor recreation Strong school options and family-friendly neighborhoods Growing region with increasing demand for cardiovascular care
