Catskill Veterinary Services is seeking a skilled, self-motivated *Overnight LVT* to join our flagship team. Currently based at our original Rock Hill facility, this role will transition in *August 2026* to our *brand-new, purpose-built specialty hospital* just minutes away.
This is a unique opportunity to provide high-level nursing care in a quiet, focused environment while being part of a major expansion in specialty veterinary medicine.

*Primary Responsibilities*
As the overnight advocate for our hospitalized patients, your shift focuses on continuity of medical excellence and high-level nursing:
* *Specialty Inpatient Management:* Execute treatment plans for small animals, exotics, and the occasional farm animal.
* *Critical Care Nursing:* Manage fluid therapy, CRI adjustments, and complex medication protocols (IV, IM, SQ, Oral).
* *Vitals & Monitoring:* Perform regular rounds using *Doppler BP, Tonovet, and ECG* to ensure patient stability.
* *Network Coordination:* Support our growing network by assisting with patient transfers from our Middletown or Newburgh locations to the Rock Hill flagship for overnight care.
* *Laboratory & Imaging:* Utilize our full *IDEXX lab suite* and digital radiology for overnight diagnostic needs.
* *Surgical Recovery:* Provide specialized post-operative care and pain management for patients recovering from specialty procedures.
* *The "Clean Slate" Handoff:* Ensure the treatment floor and surgical suites are prepped and stocked for the incoming morning specialty team. Round the daytime team on patient updates form overnight.
*Qualifications*
* *Credentialed:* NYS Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) in good standing.
* *Independent:* Ability to work autonomously and make sound clinical observations.
* *Species-Diverse:* Comfort or interest in working with "all species"
* *Technical Proficiency:* Strong skills in venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and interpretation of patient vitals.
