If you have at least 4 years of construction or metal building sales experience, ability to travel extensively within the territory, and strong relationship-driven selling skills, then we are interested in you Compensation & Benefits: • On-Target Earnings (Year 1): $125,000 • Base Salary: $73,299 – $89,108 • Annual Profit-Sharing Bonus (5-Year Avg): 20% of eligible earnings • Monthly Sales Compensation Plan payouts • Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage • 401(k) with company match and profit sharing • Paid time off and holidays • Career advancement within a Fortune 150 organization • No-layoff practice and long-term career stability Job Requirements: • High School Diploma required • Minimum 4 years of sales or service experience in construction or metal building industry • Experience working directly with builders and construction customers • Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance • Must reside in or relocate to Northern Illinois/Northwest Indiana territory • Ability and willingness to travel frequently, including overnight travel • Strong account management and relationship-building skills • Strategic sales planning and proposal development experience • Ability to identify value-added opportunities to drive profitability • Commitment to workplace safety standards and practices • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Civil Engineering, or Construction preferred • 3–5 years experience with manufactured metal building systems preferred • Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation Job Duties: The District Sales Manager will lead territory growth by acquiring new builder accounts and strengthening existing relationships to position American Buildings as the preferred supplier.
Responsibilities include developing and executing strategic sales plans; collaborating with project coordination, quality assurance, and inside sales teams; preparing and delivering persuasive proposals; managing key accounts to increase sales effectiveness; and identifying value-added solutions to enhance project profitability.
The DSM will travel extensively throughout the territory to build long-term partnerships and champion safety leadership aligned with company standards.
