Raised $24M in funding from tier 1 Fintech investors like Lightspeed Venture Partners and Foundation Capital Series B startup that is profitable now --> already hit stretch revenue goals for 2025 and have 3+ years of runway Role Overview As a Solutions Architect at Seel, you'll play a critical, client-facing role at the intersection of sales, product, and engineering, ensuring seamless implementations of one of the most sensitive workflows in ecommerce: checkout and payment flows. You'll join a small but rapidly scaling team, bringing a hands-on, startup mindset to drive faster implementations, unblock sales, and protect revenue as customer demand accelerates. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being deeply embedded in customer implementations, understands how technical decisions impact revenue, and thrives in fast-moving environments where process-building, ownership, and pragmatism matter. Responsibilities
Own client-facing technical implementations, partnering with Sales, Product, and Engineering to guide customers from contract signature to live traffic efficiently and safely. Manage 5-8 concurrent implementations at any given time, balancing urgency, quality, and stakeholder expectations. Serve as a trusted technical partner during pre-sales and post-sales, ensuring sales efforts do not disrupt core engineering workflows or introduce revenue risk. Translate technical concepts clearly for non-technical audiences; review code, APIs, and configurations at a conceptual level (no live coding required) to identify risks, gaps, or optimization opportunities. Lead and improve implementation processes and playbooks, reducing time-to-live and eliminating friction across teams. Collaborate closely with engineering to flag issues early, escalate effectively, and drive resolution without slowing momentum. Track and improve key implementation KPIs Push back constructively when needed, navigating disagreements with sales partners to protect both customer experience and revenue outcomes. Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, documenting best practices and helping shape the future structure of Seel's Solutions Architecture organization. Is this you?
5+ years of experience in Solutions Architecture, Sales Engineering, Implementation Engineering, or Technical Support Engineering with significant customer-facing responsibility Strong experience with API-based integrations, ideally involving payments, ecommerce, or sensitive data flows Comfort reviewing and discussing code conceptually (e.g., reading code, understanding pseudocode, identifying potential failure points) without acting as a full-time programmer Proven ability to build or improve processes-not just follow them-and a track record of fixing what doesn't work Experience working closely with Sales teams, including navigating technical disagreements and balancing speed vs. risk Background in startup or scale-up environments; candidates who have only worked in large, slow-moving organizations are unlikely to be a fit #Perks
