Supervising Social Worker

Base Location: Stonehouse

Hours: 17.5 hours per week (2.5 days per week)

Working Pattern:

• Wednesday: 9am - 12:30pm
• Thursday & Friday: 9am - 5pm

Salary: £37,000 prorated

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Social Worker who is enthusiastic and committed to fostering meaningful relationships with foster parents. Your collaborative approach will be key in promoting effective supervision of placements.

• Provide direct support to foster parents, maintaining a realistic caseload for high-level supervision.
• Conduct regular supervision sessions, enabling and monitoring foster parents' practices to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to ensure full participation in safeguarding and child protection processes.

• A Social Care England recognized qualification in Social Work or equivalent.
• Previous experience in children and families social work.
• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and publications related to children's services.
• Good IT skills and the ability to work flexibly.
• A full driving license and access to your own vehicle.

This is a demanding yet rewarding position that includes quality assurance and training roles for foster parents. You will be an excellent report writer, able to meet strict deadlines.
