*ABOUT THE PRODUCT*
TimeTogether is building case management and workflow software for supervised visitation and parenting time programs used in the child welfare system (foster care).
Most agencies currently manage cases using spreadsheets, email, and manual documentation. The platform will manage referrals, visit documentation, compliance tracking, and automated reporting.
The initial focus is agencies contracted with state Departments of Child Safety.
*THE ROLE*
Seeking a technical advisor to provide oversight during early platform development.
The platform is currently being built by a US-based development company with engineers overseas. The goal of this role is to ensure the system architecture, infrastructure, and security decisions are sound before the platform launches.
*Initial responsibilities include:*
* Attending occasional meetings with the development team
* Reviewing architecture and infrastructure decisions
* Providing guidance on cloud hosting and security (Azure)
* Identifying technical risks or shortcuts during development
* Ensuring the system is scalable and maintainable
You will not be expected to write large amounts of code during this phase.
*IDEAL BACKGROUND*
* Must be a U.S. Citizen due to GovRAMP requirements
* Senior software engineer, architect, or technical lead
* Experience building or scaling SaaS platforms
* Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (Azure preferred)
* Comfortable reviewing architecture and developer decisions
* Management experience
* Startup or GovTech experience is a plus but not required
* GovRAMP / StateRAMP / NIST 800-53 experience strongly preferred
* Passion for helping families and children in foster care
*TIME COMMITMENT*
Estimated 1–5 hours per week.
*COMPENSATION*
$50/hour initially given the limited time commitment, with potential for expanded compensation and equity if the role transitions to CTO.
*POTENTIAL FUTURE ROLE*
If the partnership is a strong fit and the platform approaches launch, this role could transition into CTO.
Responsibilities would include:
* Technical leadership and strategy
* Hiring engineering talent
* Overseeing infrastructure and deployments
* Managing ongoing development and maintenance
Equity participation would be part of this stage.
