We are seeking a special person to offer integrative primary care/consultative services, collaborate with the UTIMIH team, and support our efforts to provide innovative healthcare education, clinical care and research programs. Each member of our team is critical to furthering our internal culture of compassion-oriented care for each other, our patients and ourselves. Job Qualifications: Medical Degree (MD or DO); Residency in Family Practice or Internal Medicine preferred and several years experience desired Current Board Certification in your specialty Personally exemplify healthy lifestyle practices Strong interpersonal communication, mass communication, and leadership skills Board certified/eligible in Integrative or Functional Medicine Job Essentials: Clinical Practice (FT 36 patient care hours) Conduct an integrative primary care practice Provide integrative consults two days a week for our oncology patients Communicate in a professional manner with referring physicians Work with our team of complementary integrative providers to generate treatment plans with and for patients Refer when appropriate to complementary medicine providers Work to further the strategic goals of Integrative Medicine in our institution. Outreach and Education Conduct community lectures on health optimization, prevention, and wellness related topics Participate in teaching for students and residents Enhance clinical team performance by participating in clinical skill development and clinical program presentations Participate in social media communications Support clinical research initiatives and implement appropriate research findings into clinical practice Help create and communicate internally and externally a compelling vision for health optimization, prevention, and a holistic medical approach Promote integrative medicine in the context of existing and planned clinical and corporate programs Ray Thomas
