The Enterprise Data Services department is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Staff Data Engineer to enhance and support our Data assets on the Snowflake and SQL Server platform. If you have a proven track record in ELT development and integration using Snowflake, we want to hear from you! Your technical expertise and problem-solving skills will play a crucial role in delivering maintenance and enhancement projects within our Data & Analytics Value stream. This role offers a Hybrid work schedule, where you will work in our office locations (Hartford, CT; Chicago, IL; Columbus, OH; and Charlotte, NC) three days a week, from Tuesday to Thursday. Role Description: As a Senior Staff Data Engineer, you will be an authority on data platform architecture and design, with a deep understanding of data curation and multi-dimensional models. You will oversee technical delivery reviews and resolve architecture issues within the AWS Snowflake platform. Responsibilities: Provide technical leadership and expertise in Snowflake's cloud-native architecture. Implement and leverage features like Materialized Views, Data Sharing, Clone Feature, and Dynamic Data Masking. Lead teams in implementing solutions according to established design and architecture methodologies (SDLC). Integrate data pipelines with a source control repository, building CI/CD pipelines and implementing DevOps practices. Research and evaluate alternative solutions, recommending the most efficient and cost-effective options for system designs. Coordinate with various disciplines, including Architects, Business Analysts, Scrum Masters, and Developers, to ensure technical clarity in design, development, and implementation. Oversee the quality and completeness of technical specifications, solution designs, and code reviews, ensuring adherence to non-functional requirements. Deliver technical solutions in an iterative, agile environment (Scrum/Kanban), actively participating in feature refinement and user story completion. Document and communicate technical risks, issues, and alternative solutions throughout projects. Collaborate with a high-performing, forward-focused team, including Release Train Engineers, Product Owners, and Business stakeholders. Work on innovative projects with a
