Job Description:
Full-time, year-round position which uses data and technology to provide insights that improve efficiency and decision-making.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Queries and analyzes large datasets to identify trends and patterns in educational operations. Creates dashboards and reports using tools like Argos, Apex, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms to communicate findings to stakeholders in a clear, understandable manner. Provides data-driven recommendations to improve student outcomes, optimize resource allocation, and enhance administrative efficiency. Develops strong collaborative partnerships with departments and individuals in all areas of the College including admissions, finance, and student services, to support their needs and goals. Contributes to unit planning, assessment, and college institutional effectiveness efforts. Acts in accordance with local, state, and federal laws/regulations as well as College policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Educational:
Bachelor's degree from an institutionally accredited organization preferred. Business Intelligence certification or one (1) year experience in data science, business analytics, statistics, or related field required.
Experiential:
Databases & SQL: ability to query data required. Data Visualization Tools: Experience using Tableau, Power BI, Argos, Apex, or similar platforms for creating dashboards and reports preferred. Two (2) or more years of experience with complex databases and dashboards preferred.
Other:
Proven ability to provide excellent customer service required. Working knowledge of descriptive statistics preferred. Working knowledge of education industry data and reporting preferred. Analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to translate complex data into actionable insights for non-technical audiences required.
