Job Summary:
The Data Analytics Intern supports our data platform initiatives, with a primary focus on Snowflake. This internship offers hands-on experience working with modern cloud data warehousing, real production data, and cross-functional teams.
This role will have exposure to data engineering, SQL development, and cloud analytics platforms.
Essential Duties Assist in developing, maintaining, and optimizing Snowflake databases, schemas, and tables Write and optimize SQL queries for data transformation, reporting, and analysis Support data ingestion pipelines from source systems into Snowflake Help monitor data quality, performance, and cost usage within Snowflake Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders on data needs Document data models, processes, and best practices Participate in code reviews and team meetings Competencies

Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field Solid understanding of SQL Familiarity with relational databases and data warehousing concepts Comfortable working with large datasets Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Exposure to Snowflake (coursework, labs, or personal projects) Experience with Python, dbt, or similar data tools Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) Understanding of basic data modeling concepts (star/snowflake schemas) Experience using Git or other version control systems Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a climate-controlled setting, seated continuously and is sedentary the majority of the work day. This position may be work from home, hybrid, or in a call center with moderate to high noise levels & frequent foot traffic. This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones/headsets. Work area stations and cubicles are close in proximity to others.
Specific requirements for Work from Home environment:
Must be able to meet all ARS Work from Home requirements and expectations. Must possess self-motivation and be self-disciplined to complete necessary job duties and pro-actively seek all necessary information. Must be able to effectively and efficiently use all forms of communication as appropriate (video calls, telephone, e-mail, instant messaging). Must have reliable and secure equipment and services (i.e., high-speed internet, electricity). Must be able to set and meet established deadlines and commitments on a regular basis.
