We are seeking an experienced Material Handler for our facility in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. In this role, you will be crucial in managing the flow of materials within our warehouse, ensuring efficient operations and timely movement of goods. Your responsibilities will include receiving and unloading shipments, transporting materials using appropriate equipment, organizing inventory, and preparing items for dispatch. A strong understanding of warehouse safety, including proper lifting techniques and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), is essential. You will operate various material handling equipment, so prior experience or a willingness to learn is key. This position is physically demanding and requires a proactive approach to tasks. You will work collaboratively with a team to meet operational goals within our logistics network. Maintaining a clean and safe work area is a critical aspect of this role. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) safely.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Organize and maintain inventory stock accurately.
- Conduct routine checks on material handling equipment for safety and functionality.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, including proper lifting and the use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and record keeping.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a warehouse setting.
- Certification or experience operating forklifts is a plus.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 60 lbs).
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to PPE protocols.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
