We are looking for a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our Tampa, Florida facility. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring that our stock levels are precise and up-to-date. This position requires a strong analytical mind, exceptional organizational skills, and a keen attention to detail. Your duties will include conducting regular inventory audits, investigating discrepancies, implementing inventory control procedures, and working to minimize stock loss. You will play a key part in optimizing our warehouse operations and ensuring the smooth flow of goods within our logistics network. Safety is a top priority, and you will be expected to adhere to all warehouse safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling practices. Experience with inventory management software is highly desirable. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems.
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
- Monitor stock levels and identify potential shortages or overages.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory items.
- Assist with receiving and shipping documentation as it relates to inventory.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including proper lifting techniques and the use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control or a similar role.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and databases.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse logistics and operations.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to PPE requirements.
