We are hiring a skilled Material Handler to support our operations in Seattle, Washington. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient movement of materials throughout our warehouse facility. You will be responsible for loading, unloading, and transporting materials, as well as managing inventory within the facility. Experience with various material handling equipment is highly desirable. A strong emphasis is placed on safety, and you will be required to adhere to all safety regulations and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). This position demands physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic logistics environment. You will work closely with other warehouse staff to ensure timely and accurate processing of materials. Key responsibilities include preparing materials for shipment, maintaining inventory records, and ensuring that materials are stored correctly. Responsibilities:
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and dollies to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring safe and efficient handling of goods.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Organize and maintain inventory in a systematic manner.
- Perform regular equipment checks to ensure proper functioning and safety.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and record-keeping.
- Follow instructions for proper lifting and material handling.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role.
- Valid forklift certification is a strong advantage.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, up to 60 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Excellent understanding of safety procedures and regulations.
- Proficiency in operating various material handling equipment.
- Commitment to wearing necessary PPE.
