We are looking for a meticulous Receiving Clerk to join our operations in Las Vegas, Nevada. In this critical role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our supply chain. Your responsibilities will include unloading shipments, verifying quantities against purchase orders, inspecting for damage, and accurately logging all received items into our inventory system. This position requires a keen eye for detail, physical capability for Handling and moving goods, and a strong commitment to Safety. You'll work closely with our logistics and inventory teams to maintain optimal stock levels and prevent discrepancies. This is a fantastic opportunity to be a key player in a fast-paced logistics environment. Your role is vital in maintaining the integrity of our inventory and supporting overall warehouse operations. Prior experience with receiving procedures and inventory management software is highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
- Unload trucks and trailers, verifying contents against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect incoming shipments for damage and discrepancies, documenting any issues.
- Accurately record received goods into the inventory management system.
- Tag and stage incoming merchandise for put-away or distribution.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely to move materials (certification may be required).
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols and use required PPE.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal departments regarding receiving issues.
- Perform tasks involving regular Lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
- Understand and apply principles of logistics and supply chain management.
- Prioritize Safety in all receiving operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a receiving or warehouse clerk role.
- Ability to perform frequent Lifting and moving of goods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Basic understanding of logistics workflows.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
