We are looking for a dedicated Material Handler to join our state-of-the-art warehouse facility in Salt Lake City, Utah. This role is fundamental to our daily operations, ensuring the smooth flow of materials throughout the facility. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for moving, organizing, and preparing goods for storage and shipment. This involves operating various material handling equipment and maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient workspace. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to Safety, excellent physical stamina for tasks involving Lifting, and a collaborative spirit to work effectively within our logistics team. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring goods are handled with care.
- Accurately track inventory and update records.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of warehouse areas.
- Perform routine inspections of equipment and report any malfunctions.
- Follow all established Safety protocols and procedures.
- Wear and utilize designated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Assist in receiving and dispatching shipments accurately.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve operational goals in logistics.
- Identify and report any hazards or safety concerns promptly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Proven ability to operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Physical capacity to perform frequent Lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety standards and practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes physically demanding environment.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to punctuality.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Knowledge of basic inventory control procedures.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
