Join our team in Kansas City, Missouri, as an Order Picker! This position is essential for fulfilling customer orders efficiently and accurately. You will be responsible for locating and retrieving products from our warehouse shelves, preparing them for shipment, and contributing to the overall success of our logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse locations according to order sheets.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Use of picking equipment, such as pallet jacks or RF scanners, where applicable.
- Package picked items securely for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Report any damaged or misplaced inventory to supervisors.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Meet established productivity goals for picking and packing.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed, such as receiving or stocking.
- Contribute to a collaborative and productive team environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is beneficial.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 45 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to read and understand picking lists and product labels.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of wearing appropriate PPE.
- Good time management skills and ability to work at a steady pace.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
- Knowledge of basic logistics operations.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
Working Conditions:
This role is based in our warehouse facility and involves significant physical activity, including extended periods of standing and walking. You will be required to perform regular lifting. Consistent use of required PPE is paramount for safety in this logistics role.
