We are looking for a reliable Warehouse Worker to join our team in Columbus, Ohio. In this role, you will perform essential tasks that keep our warehouse operations running smoothly. Your responsibilities will include receiving, storing, picking, and preparing orders for shipment. This is a hands-on position that requires a strong work ethic and a commitment to safety.
Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming goods and verify against shipping documents.
- Store products in designated areas, ensuring proper rotation and organization.
- Pick items from inventory to fulfill customer orders accurately.
- Pack orders with care, ensuring they are ready for shipment.
- Load and unload materials from trucks.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely after training.
- Conduct inventory checks and assist with stocktaking.
- Use of appropriate PPE at all times is mandatory.
- Support the logistics team in achieving operational targets.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse experience is advantageous.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Basic understanding of warehouse procedures and logistics.
- Strong commitment to safety protocols and the correct use of PPE.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
- Familiarity with scanning equipment and warehouse management systems is a plus.
Working Conditions:
This position involves working in a warehouse setting with potential exposure to temperature fluctuations. Regular physical activity including significant lifting is expected. Adherence to safety standards and the consistent use of required PPE are paramount for this role in our logistics operations.
