Our growing warehouse in Nashville, Tennessee, is actively seeking a certified Forklift Operator to join our operational team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be integral to the smooth movement of inventory, ensuring efficient loading, unloading, and placement of goods. Your role is vital to our logistics efficiency, contributing directly to timely order fulfillment and inventory accuracy. We are committed to providing a safe working environment, and all team members are expected to strictly follow safety regulations, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments from trucks and trailers.
- Transport products to and from storage areas, production lines, and shipping docks.
- Stack and arrange inventory in designated locations, ensuring proper organization and space utilization.
- Perform daily pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any issues immediately.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock reconciliation.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all safety standards.
- Follow all company safety policies, including the correct use of PPE and safe lifting techniques.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and team members to optimize workflow and logistics.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with valid certification.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and material handling equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.
- Physical capability to perform manual tasks, including some lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of logistics principles and supply chain operations.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and good communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
