We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our St. Louis, Missouri warehouse team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your ability to manage inventory flow and support our logistics operations is essential. You will ensure that goods are handled properly and that the warehouse remains organized and safe for all personnel. Strict adherence to safety procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move palletized goods, raw materials, and finished products.
- Load and unload trucks and containers efficiently.
- Transport items to and from designated storage areas within the warehouse.
- Stack and arrange inventory accurately to maximize space and ensure accessibility.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment, reporting any damage or malfunctions.
- Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock verification.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring aisles and safety zones are clear.
- Follow all company safety guidelines, including proper lifting techniques and the use of PPE.
- Support logistics and shipping departments to meet order fulfillment deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Valid Forklift Operator certification and demonstrable experience.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts.
- Understanding of warehouse safety standards and procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including some lifting up to 45 lbs.
- Strong knowledge of logistics and material handling best practices.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
