Our growing logistics operation in Boston, Massachusetts is looking for a talented Warehouse Technician. This role is essential for the upkeep and operational efficiency of our warehouse machinery and infrastructure. You will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing and repairing equipment malfunctions, and ensuring all systems are running optimally. Your technical skills will be critical to maintaining our high standards of productivity and safety within the logistics environment. The ideal candidate has a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems and is adept at problem-solving in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance on all warehouse equipment, including conveyor belts, sorters, and lift mechanisms.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues promptly.
- Install new equipment and ensure proper integration into the warehouse operations.
- Respond to emergency equipment repair requests to minimize downtime.
- Perform safety inspections on all machinery and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Ensure all work adheres to strict safety standards and proper PPE is utilized at all times.
- Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades or process improvements.
- Manage spare parts inventory and order necessary supplies.
- Provide basic training to operators on equipment care and minor troubleshooting.
- Support the overall efficiency and reliability of the logistics facility.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Technician, Maintenance Technician, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Experience with warehouse automation and material handling equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and maintenance equipment.
- A strong commitment to safety and the correct use of PPE.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or trade school education preferred.
