We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Picker/Packer to join our dynamic warehouse team in Salt Lake City, Utah. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately picking customer orders and preparing them for shipment, ensuring high levels of productivity and accuracy. You'll be an integral part of our logistics operations, contributing to the efficient flow of goods through our distribution center. This position requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to safety protocols. You will work closely with other warehouse staff to maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment. Your primary goal will be to fulfill orders accurately and in a timely manner to meet customer expectations. This role involves frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting. We provide comprehensive training on our systems and processes. Teamwork and a positive attitude are highly valued. Experience in a warehouse setting is a plus, but not required for motivated individuals. We prioritize a safe work environment and expect all employees to adhere to all safety guidelines and wear required PPE. The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment is essential for success in this position. You will be expected to meet performance metrics related to picking speed and accuracy. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items for customer orders using a handheld scanner or pick list.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers.
- Verify order accuracy before packaging and shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Meet daily productivity and quality targets.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as needed.
- Communicate any issues or discrepancies to a supervisor.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvements.
- Assist in other warehouse duties as assigned, supporting overall logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Basic reading and math skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Experience with warehouse equipment is a plus.
- Commitment to workplace safety and use of PPE.
