Join our growing logistics team in Raleigh, North Carolina, as an Inventory Control Specialist. This position is vital for maintaining the integrity and accuracy of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies, and ensuring that our Warehouse Management System (WMS) accurately reflects stock levels. A meticulous approach, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to safety are essential. The role involves working closely with various departments to identify and implement improvements in inventory processes. We provide necessary PPE and ensure adherence to all safety protocols. Some lifting may be required.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve all inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Update and maintain accurate inventory records within the WMS.
- Monitor inventory levels, ensuring stock rotation and identifying potential shortages or overages.
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
- Identify and report damaged, expired, or obsolete inventory.
- Collaborate with receiving, shipping, and other logistics teams to streamline processes.
- Support the development and implementation of process improvements.
- Adhere to all company safety guidelines and ensure proper use of PPE.
- Generate periodic inventory reports for management review.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in inventory control, warehousing, or a related logistics field.
- Solid understanding of inventory management systems and best practices.
- Proficiency with WMS and Microsoft Excel.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and using required PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant certifications are a plus.
