Orlando, Florida is looking for an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to oversee the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse stock. This role is essential for optimizing our logistics and ensuring that our inventory levels are precisely managed. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions. Your expertise will help maintain optimal stock levels, minimize shrinkage, and improve overall warehouse efficiency. This role requires a meticulous approach and a strong understanding of inventory management systems. Safety in all operations is a top priority.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly and accurately.
- Implement inventory control procedures to minimize shrinkage and errors.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth flow of goods and accurate stock levels.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of all inventory items, adhering to safety guidelines.
- Monitor and manage the receiving and put-away processes to ensure accuracy.
- Assist in developing and executing inventory reduction or optimization projects.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safe lifting techniques.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory control or a related warehouse role. Proficiency with WMS and inventory management software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities. Experience with logistics and supply chain principles. Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 30 lbs, and work in a warehouse environment. Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
