Our established company is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist for our Virginia Beach, Virginia location. This critical role ensures the accuracy and integrity of our inventory data, which is fundamental to our **logistics** and supply chain operations. You will be responsible for monitoring inventory levels, conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing solutions to maintain optimal stock accuracy. A key aspect of this role involves working within the warehouse environment, which may include some **lifting** and movement of stock. Maintaining a **safety**-conscious approach and adhering to all **PPE** requirements are essential. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and proficiency with inventory management systems. You should be adept at identifying trends, resolving issues, and contributing to process improvements that enhance our inventory control and overall warehouse efficiency. Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and potential issues.
- Implement and refine inventory control procedures.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS or ERP system.
- Collaborate with warehouse and **logistics** teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist with the **lifting** and handling of inventory as needed, following **safety** guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with all **safety** regulations and **PPE** usage.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in inventory management.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar inventory management role.
- Strong understanding of inventory control principles and **logistics**.
- Proficiency in inventory management software (WMS, ERP).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform **lifting** of inventory items up to 30 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse **safety** procedures and **PPE**.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is a plus.
