We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our logistics team in Kansas City, Missouri. The Forklift Operator will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials throughout the warehouse, loading and unloading trucks, and assisting with inventory management. This role requires a keen focus on Safety, proficiency in operating forklifts, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods and maintaining operational efficiency. A strong commitment to workplace Safety is paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to move, load, and unload materials within the warehouse.
- Transport goods to and from designated areas.
- Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any issues.
- Assist with receiving and stocking of incoming inventory.
- Help with order picking and preparation for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Wear and maintain required PPE.
- Must be capable of moderate Lifting and moving of materials.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and material handling procedures.
- Strong understanding of Safety regulations related to forklift operation.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Good physical condition and ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and moderate Lifting.
- Familiarity with logistics processes is a plus.
