We are seeking a meticulous and organized Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Miami, Florida. As a Shipping Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all outgoing shipments are accurately processed, documented, and dispatched. Your attention to detail will be paramount in maintaining the integrity of our supply chain and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will be responsible for preparing shipping labels, verifying shipment contents against orders, and coordinating with carriers to schedule pickups. A strong understanding of shipping procedures and best practices in logistics is highly desirable. We are committed to providing a safe working environment and expect all employees to adhere to strict safety protocols. This includes the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times while on the warehouse floor. The ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting, up to 50 pounds, will be necessary for certain tasks. You will also be involved in maintaining accurate shipping records and assisting with inventory counts as needed. This is an excellent opportunity to grow within a leading logistics company.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process all outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Verify the contents of shipments against order documentation.
- Generate and affix shipping labels.
- Coordinate with freight carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Maintain organized shipping and receiving areas.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counts.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Operate shipping equipment as required.
- Perform lifting tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a shipping or logistics role preferred.
- Familiarity with shipping software and carrier platforms.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to PPE guidelines.
- Basic computer proficiency.
