We are seeking energetic and detail-oriented Picker/Packers to join our state-of-the-art logistics facility in Richmond, Virginia. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. Your responsibilities will include accurately picking items from warehouse shelves based on order tickets, carefully packing items for shipment, and preparing orders for dispatch. This position requires a keen eye for detail, the ability to work efficiently, and a strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. You'll be a critical link in our supply chain, directly impacting customer satisfaction. Success in this role requires physical stamina, the ability to follow instructions precisely, and a proactive approach to completing tasks. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse locations using order sheets or scanning devices.
- Inspect picked items for accuracy and quality.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers.
- Label packages correctly for shipment.
- Stage packed orders for outgoing transportation.
- Maintain an organized and clean picking and packing station.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines, including the proper use of PPE.
- Meet or exceed established picking and packing performance standards.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as needed.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and success of the logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a picker/packer or in a warehouse environment is advantageous.
- Ability to read and understand order tickets and product labels.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions.
- Physical capability for frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to safety protocols and guidelines in a logistics setting.
- Basic computer skills for using scanning equipment are a plus.
- Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude.
