Our Dallas, Texas distribution center is looking for a reliable Shipping Clerk to manage our outbound shipments. This role is key to our Logistics network, ensuring timely and accurate dispatch of products to our customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing shipping documentation, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining organized shipping records. Responsibilities:
- Generate and process shipping documentation (e.g., bills of lading, shipping manifests).
- Verify outgoing orders against pick lists for accuracy.
- Schedule and confirm pickups with freight carriers.
- Track shipments and update order statuses in the Warehouse Management System.
- Ensure all items are properly packed, labeled, and secured for transit.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and carrier representatives.
- Maintain a clean and orderly shipping dock area.
- Strictly adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Wear and properly use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with any duties that involve Lifting packages or materials as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree is a plus.
- Previous experience in a shipping or logistics role.
- Proficiency with shipping software and office productivity tools.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and order fulfillment.
- Understanding of Logistics and shipping best practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Capable of performing tasks involving moderate Lifting, up to 40 lbs.
- Commitment to promoting and ensuring Safety in the workplace.
