Our San Antonio, Texas facility is seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator. This role is vital for the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse, ensuring materials are transported safely and accurately. The ideal candidate will be skilled in operating various types of forklifts and committed to maintaining a safe working environment. You will play a key part in our daily Logistics operations, supporting receiving, put-away, and shipping functions.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials.
- Transport goods to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform routine checks on forklift equipment and report any issues.
- Maintain accurate records of material movements and inventory locations.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Follow all warehouse Safety procedures and guidelines.
- Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Operate equipment in a manner that prevents damage to goods and property.
- Adhere to all regulations pertaining to forklift operation.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, potentially involving Lifting.
Qualifications:
- Valid Forklift Operator certification required.
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and Logistics flow.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently in various conditions.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Team player with good communication skills.
