Our Portland, Oregon facility seeks a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to manage the outbound flow of goods. This role is critical to our Logistics success, ensuring that all shipments are processed accurately, timely, and in compliance with company and carrier requirements. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will work closely with our warehouse and logistics teams to maintain high levels of service.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading and manifests.
- Verify outgoing shipments against orders for accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate with carriers for shipment pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and update tracking information.
- Operate shipping software and equipment.
- Ensure proper packaging and labeling of all outgoing shipments.
- Address and resolve any shipping-related issues or discrepancies.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety regulations and protocols.
- Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during all warehouse activities.
- Support warehouse operations that may involve Lifting of packages.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a related administrative/warehouse role.
- Proficiency with shipping software and MS Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Knowledge of Logistics and shipping procedures.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with carrier requirements and shipping regulations.
- Must be able to perform tasks involving moderate Lifting, up to 40 lbs.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient workplace.
