We are looking for a dedicated Receiving Clerk to manage the inbound flow of goods at our Kansas City, Missouri facility. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure all incoming shipments are accurately received, inspected, and documented. You will work closely with vendors and internal teams to resolve any discrepancies and prepare received goods for storage. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to upholding **safety** standards. Join our team and become a key player in our **logistics** operations.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Verify the contents of incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect goods for damage or defects and report any issues immediately.
- Accurately document all received items into the inventory management system.
- Allocate received goods to their designated storage locations.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal departments to resolve receiving discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move materials as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all **PPE** requirements for receiving operations.
- Be prepared for **Lifting** of items up to 50 lbs.
- Support the efficiency of our **Logistics** supply chain.
- Adhere to all **safety** regulations and company procedures.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in receiving, inventory control, or a related **logistics** role is a plus. Strong organizational and record-keeping skills. Ability to perform physical tasks, including **Lifting** up to 50 lbs. Familiarity with warehouse equipment and **safety** practices. Proficiency in basic computer applications. Excellent communication skills. Must understand and utilize required **PPE**.
