We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to oversee inventory accuracy and management at our San Francisco, California facility. This role is critical for optimizing stock levels, minimizing discrepancies, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods within our logistics operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, exceptional attention to detail, and a proven track record in inventory management. You will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of our supply chain and supporting our operational goals.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure accuracy
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and best practices
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with purchasing and logistics teams to ensure optimal inventory levels
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Oversee the receiving and put-away process to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Manage the returned goods process, including inspection and restocking
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including the proper handling of materials and use of PPE.
- Utilize inventory management software to track stock movements and generate reports
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the logistics and supply chain functions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred
- Proven experience in inventory control or a similar role
- Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., WMS, ERP systems)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to perform some physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 30 pounds
- Solid understanding of logistics and warehouse operations
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
