We are hiring a Material Handler to support our operations in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role is essential for the smooth flow of goods within our facility, ensuring that materials are accurately sorted, moved, and prepared for further processing or shipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling a variety of materials, operating relevant equipment, and contributing to a safe and efficient warehouse environment. Responsibilities:
- Receive, identify, and sort incoming materials
- Transport materials to and from production, storage, or other areas
- Load and unload materials from trucks, containers, and internal vehicles
- Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other manual or motorized equipment
- Stack, sort, and rack materials in designated locations
- Perform quality checks on materials, reporting any damage or discrepancies
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety standards and the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock management as directed
- Contribute to efficient logistics by ensuring materials are readily available for subsequent operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling
- Capability of Lifting up to 50 pounds consistently
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with warehouse safety protocols
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
- Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.
